Eligibility Criteria for Degree Courses in Engineering/Technology ( Under Graduate )

 

For first year Engineering:

Eligibility criteria for Maharashtra State Candidate and Outside Maharashtra State Candidate:

Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std.XII) Examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Mathematics , chemisrty/ biotechnology/biology/technical vocational subject AND Secured minimum 50 % marks (minimum 45 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Physically Handicapped belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the subjects Physics, Mathematics ,chemisrty/ biotechnology/biology/technical vocational subject added together AND Obtained a positive composite score ie marks obtained after adding 50% JEE (Main)2014 (paper 1) marks and 50% normalized standard XII marks in subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together at

Direct Second year

Educational Qualification

The Candidate must be an Indian National and should have passed Post-SSC or Post-HSC Diploma Course in Engineering/Technology with at least 45 % marks (40 % marks in case of candidates of backward class categories and Physically Handicapped belonging only to Maharashtra State) in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology from an AICTE approved Institution with English as the medium of instruction at Diploma level.

OR

The Candidate must be an Indian National and should have passed B.Sc. Degree from a UGC / Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least 45% marks (40 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Physically Handicapped belonging only to Maharashtra State) and passed XII standard examination with Mathematics as the subject and with English as the medium of instruction at B.Sc. level.

Note:-
The students belonging to B.Sc. Stream shall only be considered after filling the seats in this category with students belonging to the Diploma Stream and students belonging to B.Sc. stream are required to pass the subjects of Engineering Graphics / Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year Engineering program along with the second year subjects.



Eligibility Criteria for Degree Courses in Engineering/Technology ( Post Graduate )

Candidate should be an Indian National and who possess Bachelors degree or equivalent in the relevant field of Engineering/Technology from an AICTE/MHRD approved institutions, as specified by the concerned University for which admission is being sought to a particular Post graduate course/specialization, with at least 50 % Aggregate marks* (at least 45% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra State only)

OR

Appeared** for the final year examination of Bachelors degree or equivalent in the relevant field of Engineering/Technology from an AICTE/MHRD approved institutions, as specified by the concerned University for which admission is being sought to a particular Post graduate course/specialization.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission through Centralized Admission Process (CAP)

1. Basic educational qualification as specified above.

2. Having valid GATE Score in respective qualifying branch

OR

2. Appeared and secured non-zero marks in the GATE 2014 in respective qualifying branch. Preference will be given to GATE qualified candidates. In case of unavailability of GATE Candidates the vacant seats will be offered to the non-GATE candidates, as per merit, based on the marks secured in entrance test and interview.

3. Candidates appearing for final year exam and awaiting their result can also apply.
