Training Activities for Campus Placement


The Department of Training and Placement Cell (TPC) is the backbone of any institute. Training and Placement activity is the important part of the life of student. The TPC of MPGI facilitates the process of placement of students passing out from the institutes besides collaborating with leading organizations and institutes in setting- up of internship and training program of students.

Our country requires many architects, technologies and managers to meet the challenges of the 21st century. Technical education plays a critical role in shaping the growth of the country’s economy. Matoshri Pratishthan endeavors to help our country to face this challenges with special emphasis on placement cell. The institute shall provide assistance to the students for summer training assignment, placements with constant interaction with the industrial and business community. The placement committee coordinates the entire process of placements and related activities. It comprises a placement officer and students representatives. The prime aim of the placement committee is to develop the information bank in organization bank in organization and to help the students in identifying their area of interest and plan their career accordingly. At MPGI, we prefer to train our students from first day of the institute. Every year we are arranging many Technical, Personality Development, Soft skill training events for our students of Engineering, Management. The activities of our Training & Placement Division are as follows:

1. Training for improving Personality and Qualities

Soft skill development, Personality Development, Leadership skills, Motivation, Lateral thinking to ensure their compatibility as a corporate individual, Interpersonal relations, Self confidence, Self esteem, Goal setting, Team work, Vision, Positive thinking/attitudes, Character and core values, Stress and Time management, Emotional Intelligence

2. Supporting Activities

Debates, Elocutions, Quiz, Psychological tests to identify inclination and talents

3. Training for Mastering Interview Techniques

Group discussions, Mock Interviews, Logical reasoning, Data interpretation, Problem solving, Analytical abilities, Aptitude training, Corporate grooming  and etiquette,

4. Certificate Courses and Technical Skills

Value added courses, Technical Training (C, C++, etc.) for Non-IT branches

5. English language

Language proficiency, Communications skills, Develop and maintain a good library and a language laboratory with the required infrastructures, books, CDs, audio visual aids, equipments, modern devices to develop communication skills

6. Industrial Exposer

Industrial visits, Guest Lectures from Corporate, Circulate articles of various industries, Industry Tie ups, Industrial training, Nurtures Industry Institute interaction, by organizing and coordinating frequent industrial visits, in-plant training and projects of industrial relevance for the students, with the sole aim of zeroing down the hiatus between the industry and the academia, Makes available updated database and job profile of the companies and thus helps each student analyze and choose company of his interest.

Placement Procedure:

The members of the Training and placements cell (TPC) will work round the clock with extensive zeal and zest to promote students candidature to the industry. The placement cell has a very vital link between the institute and industry, will always is in contact with HR department of prominent organizations to promote. Apart from campus recruitment the cell also arranges off-campus recruitment and ensures that each student gets a fair chance the interviews.

The college will organize the lectures, seminars of well-known professionals and industrial experts regularly to develop overall personality of the students, which helps them for preparation of interviews, Aptitude test, Group Discussion and per campus mock interviews are conducted at regular intervals to enables student to get rid of the phobias and to prepare them for major events.

The institute aims to take pride in preparing students for the corporate world. Students are groomed with professional and personal skills which employers expect from their future leaders.
